created to promote interest in Pieter Claesen Wyckoff, his descendants,
and in the Wyckoff Farmhouse Museum located in the Flatlands section
of Brooklyn, New York. The Association also assembles, publishes,
and distributes materials and information relating to them. The
Wyckoff House was built about 1652 and occupied by Pieter and Grietje
Wyckoff about 1655. It remained the home of Wyckoff descendants
for about 250 years. The Wyckoff House is the number one Landmark
in New York City as well as the oldest house in New York State
It is also a National Historic Landmark. In 1982, it was
restored as a Living Museum to honor the Dutch presence in America.

Wyckoff House & Association
Chair, E. Lisk Wyckoff, Jr., shared the limelight and a gondola
ride across Central Parks Lake with NYC Parks Commissioner
Henry J. (StarQuest) Stern as the Historic House Trust of New York
City awarded them its Founders Award at its June 13 Gala. Lisk
and StarQuest are pictured here with Amy Freitag, Executive Director
of the House Trust. Association President
Thomas A. Wycuff attended the gala, along with Executive Director
Sean Sawyer and Museum Advisory Board member Patricia Lilly. In
addition to his major support of the Wyckoff Farmhouse Museum,
Lisk generously supports the Trusts work, including sponsoring
an upcoming ad campaign on NYC Buses that will feature the Wyckoff
House.
