Farmhouse Museum Group Policies
· The
· We recommend you confirm
your bus a week before your trip and again the day before. The museum is not
responsible for trips missed because of bus issues.
· Please
make every effort to be on time; contact us if you are running late. If you arrive late, we reserve the right to shorten your visit.
· Maximum group size is 30
students. Program fees range from $5-$8 per student depending on hands-on
activities.
· Only two adult chaperones (head/assistant teachers, parents or
aids) are granted complimentary admission; surplus chaperones will be charged
the student’s set admission fee.
· Accompanying chaperones
are expected to remain with their groups at all times and are responsible for
disciplining the students while in the Museum and the Grounds! Please advise chaperones to refrain from cell
phone usage during the school program.
· The minimum group
admission fee is $72. Please send a MANDATORY $72 deposit 3
weeks prior to the visit. Check

· School groups typically
take place from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Tuesday – Friday. Your
time slot is reserved for your class only. We can not accommodate other classes that
wish to join your group.
· There is NO lunchroom
facility in the Museum,
but classes are invited to picnic in the
· All refunds are given in the form of a check.
· Group reservations may be
cancelled up to 4 weeks in advance. After
that point, a $20 administrative fee will be charged. If you
reschedule we will only charge $10. No shows or cancellations made less than 24 hrs. prior
to visit will be required to pay the $72 fee (our minimum group admission fee).
Depending on availability we can try to re-schedule the class, and we will
allow $40 to go towards the re-scheduled trip. If there are more than two cancelled/re-scheduled
missed appointments, the paid monies can not be refunded.
· The
· During the winter season,
we will recognize official N.Y.C. Department of Education weather closings, but
be sure to keep our phone number in your paperwork the day of the trip-- during
all seasons.
· A Wyckoff Educator will guide
program and lead the hands-on activities; teachers may conduct an activity in
the Park outside the Museum after the school trip is completed.
· Visiting the gift shop is
fun, but it does take time; so please let the Wyckoff Educator know your class
is interested, and we will try to set time aside. Items range in price from
$.50-$10.00.
· Please advise your
students of the following Museum Rules prior to your visit:
ü Do not touch any objects
unless specifically directed to by Museum staff.
ü No food, drink, candy, or
chewing gum is allowed in the Museum.
ü No running is allowed
inside the Museum, but it is encouraged in the Park.
